What happens if you choose not to provide your personal information?

You do not have to give us your personal information.

But sometimes we will need you to give us some personal information in order to be able to do certain things. For example, if you don’t want us to have your email address, we can’t send you emails to keep you informed about the latest Better Aged Care campaign news. Or you may not be able to participate in campaign actions via the website. For example – in order for our Better Aged Care Pledge to work, we need you to put your email address into the form.

The personal information that we collect and hold usually fits into the following categories:

  • we may collect information about your name and your email address if you send us a message;
  • we may collect your name/email address and/or other similar details if you fill out a form on this website;

We only need your personal information to help you stay informed or help you to participate in the campaign if you choose to.

We will not share your personal details with anyone outside of the campaign unless we have your permission to.

We are only interested in supporting our supporters.

When do we disclose your personal information?

We will use and disclose information for the primary purpose for which it was collected. We may also use and disclose personal information for purposes that are related or ancillary to the main reasons we collect it. We may also be required, by law, to disclose personal information to law enforcement officers or other persons.

We never disclose personal information that we collect to third parties for the purpose of allowing them to direct market their products and services.

We may use other third parties to provide essential services on our site or for our business processes. We may share your details as necessary for the third party to provide that service. We require that our service providers only use your information for authorised purposes.

Changes to Privacy Policy

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes to this privacy statement, the homepage, and other places we deem appropriate so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. We reserve the right to modify this privacy statement at any time, so please review it frequently. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here, by Email, or by means of a notice on our homepage.
